College Scholarships

Each year, the Jacksonville Chapter awards scholarships of varying amounts to eligible high school seniors. Students must complete an application and provide an essay.

Scholarships awarded by the Jacksonville Chapter are announced in April and awarded upon proof of current matriculation in the fall.

The top Jacksonville Chapter scholarship winner will progress to compete at the regional level and regional winners will progress to compete at the national level.
Juanita Watts Byrd Essay Contest
The essay contest is designed to promote, encourage and reward excellent literacy writing skills among middle-school students who reside in the Southeastern Region. Essay contestants are eligible to receive monetary prizes.
Dr. Anthony J. Franklin Legacy Scholarship
STEM programs focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to help students gain the ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and drive
advancements in science and technology . The Dr. Anthony J. Franklin Legacy Scholarship is $1000 awarded to exemplary seniors interested in STEM.
