College Scholarships.  Each year, the Jacksonville Chapter awards scholarships of varying amounts to eligible high school seniors. Students must complete an application and provide an essay.  Scholarships awarded by the Jacksonville Chapter are announced in April and awarded upon proof of current matriculation, in the fall.  The top Jacksonville Chapter scholarship winner will progress to compete at the regional level and regional winners will progress to compete at the national level. 

 

Leadership Award.  Our Leadership scholarship is designed to recognize students with a proven record of commitment and leadership to their school, community or extracurricular activities. Recipients serve as heads of organizations/clubs, student bodies, captains of sports clubs, band leaders, etc.  

 

Dr. Anthony J. Franklin Legacy Scholarship. STEM programs focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to help students gain the ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and drive advancements in science and technology. The Dr. Anthony J. Franklin Legacy Scholarship is $1000 awarded to exemplary senior interested in STEM.

 

Charlotte Coleman “Overcomer” Award acknowledges students who met high scholastic and significant community engagement, this scholarship is designed to support high school seniors who have demonstrated an ability to overcome adversity on their path to pursue higher education.  The student selected for this award embodies resilience and courage in the face of life's challenges.

 

Juanita Watts Byrd Essay Contest. The essay contest is designed to promote, encourage and reward excellent literacy writing skills among middle-school students who reside in the Southeastern Region, Essay contestants eligible to receive monetary prizes.

 

Armani-Dior Award. The Continental Societies Inc., Jacksonville Chapter grants an annual Armani-Dior Art Award to recognize and encourage elementary students who have demonstrated interest and a level of expertise in the Arts.
